Dr. Patricia (Patti) Gilliano, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a seasoned Nurse Practitioner with nearly four decades of clinical and executive leadership experience. Patti is currently completing her doctoral dissertation on Trauma and PTSD. Throughout her distinguished career, she has served in over 22 healthcare facilities across 8 states, specializing in Perioperative Care, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Trauma, and Psychiatry. With over 25 years in leadership roles, including 14 as a Chief Nurse Executive, Patti has become a fierce advocate for patient-centered care and ethical medical practice.
She is the author of They Call Me Harriet: A Chilling Account of a Nurse Executive’s Story of Survival and Work During the Pandemic, a gripping memoir that exposes the inner workings of hospitals during the COVID crisis. Patti also penned Frozen Shoulder Survival Guide, a holistic approach to healing adhesive capsulitis without surgery.
After surviving a severe COVID hospitalization herself in 2020, Patti redirected her healing mission by becoming a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She now works to restore the emotional and psychological health of those devastated by the pandemic-era hospital protocols.
Patti serves as a board member of Betrayal Project USA, where she hosts weekly PTSD workshops for victims and survivors and uses her voice to expose the institutional failures that cost so many lives. She is also the host of the podcast Wellness Uncensored, where she fearlessly tackles topics often silenced in mainstream discourse. Patti brings not only clinical expertise but lived experience and unwavering courage to the fight for truth, justice, and accountability.
