Thomas Seibel was a healthy, active man and someone who loved family, travel, and life itself until a series of COVID-19 injections began a rapid and devastating decline that ended in his sudden death on January 1st, 2022. His brother Gary recounts this story with heartbreak, clarity, and a deep sense that what happened to Thomas was not only preventable, but part of a broader pattern of institutional betrayal that has harmed countless others.
In April 2021, Thomas received his first and second Pfizer COVID-19 injections at a Rite Aid pharmacy in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Months later, in August, the FDA formally acknowledged myocarditis as a known adverse reaction yet the public messaging continued to insist the shots were safe. Within weeks of that acknowledgment, on August 28th, Thomas was hospitalized with pneumonia documented post-injection complication. His discharge papers indicated heart failure, yet shockingly, no follow-up plan was provided. No evaluation for potential shot-related cardiac injury. No guidance. No monitoring. He was simply sent home, already fragile, with a growing list of prescriptions.
By October, Thomas received a flu shot, a DTAP injection, and then the Pfizer booster stacking immune stressors on a body already showing signs of cardiac compromise. He continued trying to live his life, even taking a family trip to Tampa in late December, but he was noticeably declining. Severe stomach issues, weakness, and discomfort followed him home.
On the morning of New Year’s Day, 2022, Gary found Thomas collapsed on the bathroom floor at their brother Steve’s house. Emergency responders could not revive him. The Medical Examiner noted an enlarged heart. No autopsy was ordered. Despite Gary’s request for further inquiry, given the series of recent injections, the booster, and his brother’s sudden cardiac decline, Thomas’ death was quickly labeled “natural causes,” attributed vaguely to heart and kidney disease. The toxicology report confirmed no substances that would explain such a catastrophic event. No meaningful investigation followed.
Gary’s grief is made heavier by the unanswered questions. He discovered only later that the coroner’s office failed to consider the multiple COVID injections, the booster, or the rapid onset of heart failure following them. Thomas had been taking 23 medications in the final months of his life another hallmark we have seen repeatedly: a cascade of new diagnoses, polypharmacy, and worsening symptoms following COVID shots. The system that was supposed to protect him instead silenced every warning sign.
